Pony cut by rope in Azores

In the Azores Islands, it’s unfortunately routine practice to graze animals by anchoring a rope to the ground so the animal can reach food within a certain circumference. If not monitored, all the grass may be eaten and the animal is forced to keep pulling harder to reach food.

For this pony, the resulting wounds caused by ropes dirty to begin with can cause very deep lacerations that become badly infected and infested.

Fortunately, on December 2, 2021, Associação Ninovan, horse rescue on the same island founded by Kim Howard, was alerted and immediately took action to have their vet clean the wound and notify Multi Radiance for possible help. Treatments began the next day using 5 minutes of bactericidal blue light and then accompanied by 50Hz and 250Hz for inflammation and tissue repair. Treatments continued 2x daily for a week and then nearly daily until December 10th when the wound was sufficiently healed. Associação Ninovan, like the many other nonprofit animal rescue groups are essential for the injured neglected, those with chronic conditions who otherwise could be left to suffer and often die when unattended. We invite everyone to donate their time, talent and funding for these dedicated volunteer groups globally who are making a difference, daily.
